In July 1996, three people met for the first time at the home of Pastor Horace and Patricia Drumming which was the beginning of Rainbow Family Christian Center (RFCC). By September the number grew to more than thirty members as God began to “enlarge the vision.”
The “vision” (Building a community bridge over the cultural divide with the love of God to gather believers of all color in fellowship) would be realized through steady multicultural, multi-ethnic growth. A rainbow of humanity embracing the biblical truths that it’s about the whole world (John 3:16) and our love and outreach cannot be selective (all people matter to God and should matter to us).
RFCC Church has always had a strong interest in missions, supporting efforts both overseas and in other parts of the United States. Local missions such as Inner City, Youth Encouragement Services, providing nutritional meals to families, Disaster Relief Efforts, and Evangelism Outreach are supported by RFCC Church.
The God of Abraham is still the same yesterday, today and forever. His love for his children is so great that the promises of the Old Testament are still being kept today as He did for Abraham. He keeps His promises but executes them differently in each situation. He also wants us to be obedient to His Word and focus on saving the lost to the Body of Christ.
The Mission is still to focus on winning the lost to Jesus Christ. The Body of Christ at Rainbow Family Christian Center (RFCC) has been and is being prepared to ramp up and operate in the Great Commission with more focus, determination and commitment. We know who and what the enemy is and we have been given the defense to ward off his attacks. We have increased our study and operation of the Word to equip the army of God for the battles before us. Because God is who He is, we can be confident in His Word and His instructions to us.
RFCC is about our Father’s business. We are very much aware of the time that we are living in and what our requirement is to operate in and complete the Great Commission before Jesus’ return.
Luke 10:2 – Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest (KJV). If you want to be in the army of the Lord and get equipped for the ongoing battle to save the lost to Jesus Christ, come and join us on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and/or 10:30 a.m. and hear messages from God’s anointed vessels.
